C’est le printemps!
Spring is finally here in Central New York! Our trip to Québec in March was MALADE and we are excited about sharing some of the fun we had at our April meeting: song, dance, and maple syrup!
We also have some wonderful activities planned for the rest of the year! We are replacing our very successful Volleyball Tournament between the different languages last year with an even better OMNI-KIN Tournament at our May meeting! Twenty players from each language will compete for the trophy — all others are welcome to cheer them on. If you have never seen omni-kin played before, it is a crazy game with a huge ball that needs four people to catch it and cannot hit the ground! We will rotate the four players from each of the four teams every few minutes. Competition will be fierce as the French players are determined to win!
May also means our final Paige’s Butterfly Run efforts. We will be holding a carwash on Saturday, May 1 and need lots of volunteers so please sign up at our April meeting or see Madame Guillet. On Saturday, May 8, French National Honor Society will be partipating in the Radisson garage sale, selling gently-used items that you can donate as well as butterfly cookies.
And finally, the tenth annual French National Honor Society induction ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 27. It will be wonderful, with all former inductees invited to share the evening.
And still, there is June with several fun activites to close our third great year!
